Hi all,

Google Groups is great, but falls short in some areas. First of all, it
doesn't support markdown. Second, it could be sunset at any time, as we've
seen with other products, e.g., Google Reader.

Thus, we're moving to using the Discourse application. It's an open source
project, which we love, and it was super easy to install, and most
importantly, it's fun to use.

The new forum is at:

Please sign up at the new forum. You can sign in with traditional
email/password, or with Mozilla Persona, Twitter, or GitHub.

The new forum is meant to replace this Google Group list, but is not mean
to replace package specific bug reports, pull requests, etc, that still
belong in the appropriate GitHub repo. For those that use our Slack rooms,
this new forum doesn't replace that.

We'd love your feedback on the new forum. Head over to
http://discuss.ropensci.org/t/we-want-your-feedback/48 and let us know if
you have any questions/feedback.
Cheers, Scott
